Project Management software is designed to facilitate the scheduling, planning, tracking and delivery of processes. It includes features such as Gantt charts, Kanban boards, a live dashboard for time tracking, and collaboration tools to assist project managers manage tasks, projects and people.
Stakeholders typically fall into two groups: primary and secondary stakeholders. Primary stakeholders are key participants in the project and hold significant influence over the outcomes. Secondary stakeholders may attend meetings or take only a small part in the project however they don’t have a lot of influence.
There are several different types of methodologies for managing projects. Some of the most well-known include lean and agile methods, heuristics and critical chain project management. The PRINCE2 method is an example of a structured project management method. It separates the project into seven steps: Leading the Project, Creating an initiative, launching a Project, Managing Product Boundaries, Controlling the stage managing Product Delivery and Closing a Project.
